“From What Could Have Been to Who Else Could I Be: Navigating Between What Was, What Could Be, and What Is” is a collection of interactive objects that explores the emotional journey between past regret, imagined possibilities, and present acceptance. What began as a personal reflection grew into a shared exploration of the universal human experience, how we reflect on past choices, wonder about alternate paths, and search for peace in the present. Each piece invites introspection and emotional engagement through metaphor and interaction, offering a space to navigate the complex feelings that shape our identity and sense of fulfillment.
This piece serves as an introductory piece to the project, marking the beginning of an ongoing exploration into the multiverse and the chaotic beauty of decision-making.

Every decision, action, or thought with multiple outcomes creates a new, branching reality. While you experience only one path, infinite versions of “you” are navigating all the outcomes, each shaped by different choices. Though we may never meet these alternate selves, we live side by side in some intangible way, connected by the decisions that define us. This concept reveals the limitless possibilities of the self and suggests that our lives are full of infinite “could-have-beens.”

Drawing inspiration from the chaotic pendulum, magnetic poles, and cartography, the piece invites interactive engagement, allowing people to place magnets and guide the pendulum’s movement. By embodying questions and abstract ideas, the object becomes a tool for exploring identity, pushing the boundaries of form and function while inviting humor, curiosity, and reflection in those who come in contact with it.
